A Millimetre / Bed One Block Hostel
Located in Bangkok, Thailand and completed in 2016. This 265 square meter narrow attractive hostel with steel sheets whose pattern vaguely resembles a traditional Thai tiled roof was designed by A Millimetre.
With a width of 4 meters and a depth of 16 meters, the narrow building with an attractive appearance of white perforated steel sheets whose pattern vaguely resembles a traditional Thai tiled roof also penetrate natural light while protecting the privacy of the inhabitants of the hostel.
Bed One Block Hostel in Bangkok, Thailand, – the second object is designed studio A Millimetre for the same customer. Located on a narrow, sandwiched between other houses area with a width of 4 meters and a depth of 16 meters, the building is typical of the Thai capital. In it it was necessary to place all the necessary equipment, the maximum number of beds, as well as to strike a balance between public and private space.
The entrance was design for social interaction between the guests or a workspace and staircase leading upstairs. In addition to the common area, each bedroom has its own small recreation area where guests can relax alone or chat with other guests.
