Studio Mode / Park Loft
This projects embraces its dark and gorgeous natural brick assets matched with a lovely texture of wood, that covers walls and ceiling of the hall and living room. Living room was furnished with contemporary modern style and sleek floating staircase leading to a second floor. To take advantage of the double-height ceiling, pristine white surfaces take over the kitchen and library on the living room. Exposed brick wall installed to give the whole loft type design feeling. The fireplace in the middle of the space separates the kitchen, living and hall spaces.
“This 152 sqm apartment is located on the eleventh floor of a building with a breathtaking view towards Sofia’s South Park and Vitosha Mountain. The building itself has an amazing architecture. These pre-conditions present an enormous challenge. The main idea is to use all the prerequisites that the architecture of the building offers. Because of the double height in the living room we built a huge library that passes over the ceiling and goes into the wall across. and for additional effect we have created a sense of ‘oberliht’ by adding hidden diffuse lighting. Another typical aspect of the design in this loft is the way we switched the places of the two materials traditionally used for flooring and ceiling. The flooring allowed us to emphasize certain volumes and to give them the desirable direction. We are excited about the implementation of this project.”
